Babette Dahlia

Babette Dahlia produces abundant blooms and prolific tubers, making it an excellent choice for both cutting gardens and propagation. Its long, sturdy stems yield vibrant 2-inch purple flowers ideal for fresh arrangements, while the compact 3-foot plant habit fits seamlessly into garden designs. As a mini ball variety, Babette delivers consistent, refined blooms throughout the season—perfect for florists and home gardeners seeking reliable performance and generous harvests. How To Plant Dahlias To get your dahlias started, pick a sunny spot with soil that drains well. Dig a hole, lay the tuber flat, and cover it with soil about 3 inches deep. Hold off on watering for now. Once you spot some sprouts and a few leaves, it’s time to water, but keep it gentle to prevent root rot. It’s a smart  to put the stake next to the tuber at the same time of planting, so you don’t accidentally damage it later on. As the season goes on, give your dahlias some love with fertilizer and insect sprays to help them bloom beautifully and grow strong. In the fall, dig up the roots and store them over winter.
