B6-6 Engines

The Estes B6-6 engine is a high-performance upper stage engine designed for serious altitude seekers. With a 6-second delay, it’s built to let your rocket coast higher before activating the recovery system—perfect for two-stage builds that need just the right timing to reach peak performance. It also works well in lighter single-stage rockets, making it a flexible addition to your engine stockpile. Delivering a total impulse of 5.00 N-sec and a maximum thrust of 12.10 Newtons, the B6-6 balances impressive power with reliable performance. Its 0.80-second thrust duration gives your rocket the strong start it needs to clear the launch pad with authority before transitioning to a long coast phase. Whether you're experimenting with staging or optimizing for altitude, this engine gives you control and consistency. Weighing just 0.64 oz (18.1 g) and measuring 2.8 inches long, the B6-6 fits all standard 18 mm engine mounts and is compatible with a wide range of Estes rocket kits. Its propellant weight of 0.23 oz (6.5 g) is optimized to provide efficient burn without adding unnecessary weight—key to getting the most out of every launch. Backed by Estes’ commitment to safety and reliability, the B6-6 engine is a trusted option for model rocketeers aiming to push their flights higher. Whether you're fine-tuning a high-performance build or enjoying the thrill of multi-stage launches, this engine is built to perform.
