B48 Block Sleeving Service

B48 Engine Block Sleeving Service When it comes to unlocking real performance and long-term durability from your BMW B48, the factory spray-on iron cylinder coating simply isn’t up to the task. Our precision sleeving service replaces those limitations with a robust, high-strength solution—turning your engine block into a foundation built for serious power. Why Sleeve Your B48 Block? The OEM coating was never designed for high-boost or high-horsepower applications. If your goal is to push your B48 beyond stock limits, you need more than just a factory liner—you need a platform that can handle increased stress while allowing for precise boring and honing. Our heavy-duty iron sleeves provide the strength, consistency, and flexibility required to safely maximize your engine’s output. When Sleeving Becomes Essential If your B48 block has suffered cylinder scoring, wall damage, or failure from a piston issue, standard repair methods often aren’t enough. In these cases, sleeving is the only true solution—restoring structural integrity while giving you the opportunity to build stronger than stock. What Our Sleeving Service Includes Our process is comprehensive and engineered for performance at every level: Precision Installation Using advanced CNC machining, our experienced technicians install each sleeve with exact tolerances, ensuring a flawless fit and a solid foundation for your build. Exact Piston Matching Whether you provide pistons or select from our trusted options, we bore and hone each sleeve to perfectly match your specifications—ensuring optimal piston-to-wall clearance and performance. Deck Surface Refinishing We resurface the block to achieve a perfectly flat, smooth finish—critical for proper head gasket sealing and long-term reliability under pressure. Complete Cleaning Process Every oil and coolant passage is thoroughly cleaned and reconditioned using specialized chemical treatments, ensuring your block is fully prepped for assembly with zero contamination.
