“I have benefited from Threads of Blessing. I built a house for my dad’s grandchildren, because he left me in charge of them. Threads of Blessing have helped my income. Thank you very much for your support. I thank the Lord for you.” Vivian lives in the Diocese of Buyaro-Kitara, located in western Uganda. The group is one of 29 across several Ugandan dioceses, comprising over 900 women artists who are part of the Threads of Blessing family. The money the women earn from their stitching is life-changing. It enables them to help support their families, pay for education and medical needs, and buy seeds and fertilizer for their crops. Each woman designs and hand-stitches her piece, creating a one-of-a-kind work of art that reflects her culture, daily life, and the landscape in which she lives.
