Aztec Diamonds Towels Designed by Michele Marshall of Mingo’s Corner Shop, the Aztec Towels showcase bold geometric beauty on the rigid heddle loom. This striking project uses a 3-shaft, two-heddle pattern perfect for the intermediate to advanced rigid heddle weaver. Worked in shadow weave, the design creates eye-catching motifs inspired by traditional South American patterns. The result is a set of towels with dramatic contrast, rich texture, and timeless style. Weave structure: shadow weave (3-shaft weaving on two heddles) Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 Cottons Kitchen Towels - Chocolate, Dusty Rose, and Light Orange Hand Towels - Navy, Nile Green, and Light Turk Equipment needed: rigid heddle loom; 24" weaving width; TWO 12 or 12.5 dent reeds; 4 shuttles.  Finished size:  Kitchen Towels 18.5” x 28”; Hand Towels 12.5” x 21.5 hemmed.
