Each batch is uniquely made from fresh cane juice and aged in Oak barrel for up to two years, resulting in a palette of extraordinary flavors. What sets it apart is not just the meticulous distillation process, but also its heritage. Produced in the hills above Rio de Janeiro, the tradition of creating this beautifully complex spirit dates back to the 18th century and carries a rich history. Its strong yet nuanced complexities make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to buy a subtly different and highly appraised spirit. Tasting Notes The nose of Avuá Oak Cachaça is fresh and vibrant, brimming with hints of tropical fruits such as banana and passion fruit. Each taste speaks volumes about its unique production process, and the resulting spirit is a testament to the craft and tradition. Suggested Serves Caipirinha: Avuá Oak Cachaça enhances the classic Brazilian cocktail's taste, adding layers of depth and complexity to the traditional lime and sugar mix. Rabid Bat: Its unique flavor profile works incredibly well in this cocktail, with vermouth and bitter liqueur accentuating the Cachaça's tropical fruit undertones. Beija Flor: When paired with grapefruit and lime juice in the Beija Flor, Avuá Oak Cachaça's sweet and citrus notes shine through, making this a refreshing and light cocktail perfect for summer evenings. Production Notes Creating Avuá Oak Cachaça is a complex, labour-intensive process that factors in terrain, cane variety, and aging process. Each batch begins with fresh sugarcane harvested by hand from the single-estate in Brazil's fertile land. It is then pressed to extract juice, fermented, and distilled according to traditional methods. The spirit is aged in oak barrels, which contributes to its unique flavor profile and luxurious texture. This traditional process, marred with modern craft, makes it a product to shop and experience.
