Avocado Vase by Ilex Studio

The Makers: Ilex Studio was founded in 2018 with a design focus on creating products that highlight the beauty of nature and design. Our mission is to inspire people to plant, nurture and celebrate the value of plants and trees. We are dedicated to addressing climate change in a simple and meaningful way by encouraging others to grow and plant trees. The Work: Avocado Vase Introducing the Avocado Vase in Emerald Green by Ilex Studio. We believe you will find the avocado plant growing fun, engaging and rewarding. Along with, it’s one of the heartiest and handsome house plants you can grow. The Avocado Vase’s pure and simple design, based on the principles of minimalism, timelessness, and functionality, allows you to observe the avocado seed as it matures, giving an insight into the plants' first stages of life. We have refined the traditional method of growing, skipping the toothpicks, and utilising the opening to cradle the seed keeping it dry as it sprouts and encouraging the roots to flourish freely.  The sinuously shaped vase magnifies the roots as they prosper; creating a perfect focal point to witness the plant as it develops. Your love of avocados can thrive long after eating one; just save the seed, grow it and discover the extraordinary tree inside.  Ideal for plant lovers, design enthusiasts, inquisitive children and everyone who wishes to experience the joy of nature and a unique connection to our environment. Product Details The Avocado Vase (15cm x 15cm) is made from borosilicate glass. The vase includes a 36-page handbook, which thoughtfully guides the user with detailed steps for germinating the seed and growing the avocado plant. The handbook contains useful tips and advice on the subjects of water, light, pruning and repotting. As well as historical references and artistic inspirations.
