Aviv Purple

Aviv Purple is a deep shade of violet and produces 5-10 gently scented flowers per corm. Her ruffled flowers reach 4-5” in diameter on tall 12-16” stems. Her dark coloring is a great contrast color for greenery in the garden and bouquets. Ranunculus are deer resistant and do well in beds, borders, or pots. Aviv Purple is sold in packs of 10. Planting Instructions:  Plant Ranunculus in the fall for zones 8-11 for spring blooms. In zones 4-7, store the hardened corms in a cool, dark place and plant in early spring for mid-summer blooms. Soak corms in room temperature water for 3-4 hours; avoid oversoaking. Choose an area with full sun for planting. Add compost and a balanced fertilizer to your soil. Plant corms 9” apart, 2-3” deep, with tentacles facing down in the soil. Water after planting and continue weekly watering to ensure the corms do not dry out for the remainder of the growing season.
