Avid 0.15EC

Mites, leafminers and other plant-damaging insects cost growers a lot of time and money. Avid 0.15 EC is a miticide and insecticide in one, killing various mite species and insects that attack greenhouse ornamentals, Christmas trees and other plants. It can be used alone or in rotation with other products for maximum pest control. How Avid 0.15 EC Works Avid contains abamectin as the active ingredient. This chemical acts on the insect's and mite's nervous system, causing paralysis that leads to death. It kills insects by direct contact but also has a delayed mode of action, allowing the insecticide/miticide to linger and target more insects and mites over time. Where to Use Avid Use Avid to target leafminers, red mites, thrips and other plant-damaging pests in shade houses and greenhouses, as well as on plants grown in nurseries and fields. It can be used on ornamental plants, foliage and woody ornamentals, including Christmas trees. It targets most mite species, such as the two-spotted spider mite, and will suppress aphids and whiteflies when applied at the immature stages. Features and Benefits From aphids to rust mites, Avid controls unwanted insects and mites in the greenhouse or in field-grown ornamentals and woody plants. It's perfect for use in a resistance-management program with other insecticides in commercial greenhouses and plant nurseries.
