Harbaugh – August 11, 2026 I ordered the upgrade kit and splurged on the Sonicap’s. The cabinet really needs NoRes in the worst way, one other thing I did was glue a small brace in the back of the baffle between the midwoofer and tweeter. Danny was not kidding about the lack of thickness in the cabinet walls. Overall the results are great, the Sonicap’s really came alive after 30 or 40 hours of play. The JB caps that come with the basic kit are so much better than the stock crossover parts that they should provide most of the benefit of a Sonicap. For an inexpensive speaker well under 200$ on sale, along with the low cost of Dannys upgrade, the results are worth the effort.
