It’s especially striking in woodland gardens or along shaded paths, where its color pattern can really shine. This cold-hardy, drought-tolerant variety doesn’t just look good, it’s also low maintenance. It performs well in sun to part shade and blooms in spring and again in fall. Plus, it’s evergreen, giving your garden year-round texture and structure even when not in bloom. The Autumn Twist® Encore® Azalea offers unique blooms and lasting appeal. Its re-blooming habit and fragrant flowers make it an ideal pick for gardeners who want visual interest without a lot of upkeep. Grow this one-of-a-kind Azalea variety today!  Planting & Care 1. Planting: Plant in well-drained, acidic soil enriched with organic matter. Choose a site with full sun to part shade (at least 4–6 hours of sunlight for best blooming). Space plants about 4–5 feet apart for seamless hedging or border use. 2. Watering: Water deeply and consistently during the first growing season to establish roots. Once established, Autumn Twist® is moderately drought-tolerant but benefits from regular watering during dry spells. Avoid soggy soil, as this can lead to root rot. 3. Fertilizing: Feed in early spring with a slow-release fertilizer formulated for acid-loving plants. A second light feeding after the first bloom cycle can help support repeat flowering. 4. Pruning: Minimal pruning is needed. Lightly shape after the first bloom cycle if desired, but avoid heavy pruning late in the season as it may reduce fall flowers. Remove dead or damaged branches as needed to keep the plant tidy and healthy.
