AutoPot Tray2Grow Automatic Watering System

AutoPot Tray2Grow — Happy Hydro Water your plants automatically. No pumps, no timers, no daily checkups. The AutoPot Tray2Grow is a gravity-fed, completely passive irrigation system that keeps your plants hydrated on their terms, not yours. No pumps. No electricity. No forgetting. It uses a precision AQUAvalve5 to release water only when the tray runs dry, so roots never sit in standing water and you never come home to stressed plants. Whether you're starting seeds, running microgreens, or growing in fabric bags, the Tray2Grow handles all of it from a single tray. It's the most versatile product AutoPot has ever made. Electricity or battery-powered timers can fail at the worst time Over- or under-watering is common without close monitoring Locked into one method. Can't switch between seed trays and grow bags. Nutrient runoff and water waste add up quickly Setup can be fiddly, messy, and hard to level correctly AutoPot Tray2Grow Fully automated. Gravity and capillary action do the work. Zero electricity needed. No pumps, no timers, nothing to plug in. AQUAvalve5 delivers water only when the tray is dry. No guesswork. Five watering methods: seeds, microgreens, pots, grow bags, coco slabs Closed-loop system minimizes runoff and dramatically cuts water waste Spirit levels and grommet fittings included. Levels perfectly every time. What makes it different Built for how growers actually work One tray, any growing method 5 methods Seed trays, microgreens, small pots, grow bags, coco slabs. Switch between capillary spikes and capillary matting to support any setup without buying a different system. Zero electricity required Gravity does the heavy lifting. The AQUAvalve5 uses a simple float mechanism with no pumps, no timers, no batteries. Nothing to fail during a heat wave or a power outage. AQUAvalve5 demand watering Water only enters the tray when it runs dry, not on a timer. Plants drink what they need, when they need it. No standing water. No root rot from overwatering. Dramatically less water waste 50% less water The closed-loop system recirculates unused water back through the valve. No runoff trays to empty, no nutrients lost down the drain. Just efficient, targeted delivery. Gravity-fed from any reservoir Connect to one of the included FlexiTank options or hook straight into your existing reservoir. Gravity pulls it toward the tray. No pump needed. 2 AQUAvalve5 takes over Once the tray runs dry, the float valve opens and lets in just enough water to fill it, then closes. No timers, no sensors to calibrate. 3 Capillary action feeds roots Spikes or matting wick water up into your substrate, bottom-up on demand. Roots stay consistently moist without sitting in standing water. 4 You just refill the tank The system runs itself until the reservoir is empty. Check it every few days. Refill less often if you sized up to a larger tank. Questions Frequently asked questions Will this actually work if I've never used a hydroponic or automated system before? Yes, and it's probably the most beginner-friendly automated system we carry. There's no programming, no app, no schedule to set. You fill the reservoir, connect the tubing, level the tray with the included spirit levels, and you're done. The valve handles everything else. Most growers have it running in under 30 minutes. We also have the full setup PDF and if you get stuck, call us at 716-217-0353 and we'll walk you through it. What if I use this outdoors? Will rain cause overwatering? It's designed for outdoor use. The tray includes an overflow plug that prevents the tray from filling beyond a safe level, so a heavy rain won't drown your plants. Fabric grow bags drain quickly, and as long as your substrate has decent drainage, you'll be fine. We'd still suggest going with a 25-gallon or larger tank outdoors so you're not refilling constantly in warm weather. How long can I leave it running unattended? That depends mainly on how large a reservoir you choose. For seed starting and microgreens indoors with a 13-gallon tank, most growers refill once a week. If you're running larger fabric bags outdoors in a hot climate, you may need to refill every 2–3 days with a 13-gallon tank . Or move up to the 25 or 60-gallon FlexiTank for true set-it-and-forget-it coverage. If you tell us your setup we can give you a better estimate. Can I use this with liquid nutrients, or just plain water? Both work fine. The system is fully compatible with liquid nutrient solutions. Just mix your nutrients in the reservoir at your normal dilution rate and the valve delivers it to the tray on demand the same way it would with plain water. The included golf filter helps keep particles from clogging the valve. Rinse it periodically, especially if you're running thicker solutions. Which reservoir size do I actually need? Here's a practical guide: If you're primarily doing seed starting or microgreens indoors and can check on things every week, the 13-gallon FlexiTank is plenty. If you're growing in multiple bags outdoors in a warm climate, or you want longer intervals between refills, go with 25 gallons minimum. The 60-gallon FlexiTank is for larger operations or anyone who wants to set it and check it once every week or two. When in doubt, size up. A bigger tank never hurts, and you can always partially fill it. Do the capillary matting and capillary spikes both come included? Both are included with the standard kit. You get the capillary matting for seed trays, microgreen trays, and pots, as well as 10 capillary spikes for grow bags and soil bags. You don't need to buy accessories to get started with any of these methods. The only additional items are the optional microgreen trays (4-pack) and the raised planter box, which are add-ons if you need them. What if my plants die or the system doesn't work for my setup?
