The AutoPatch Modula 3RU (3U) is a modular, high-performance matrix switcher designed by AMX for versatile audio and video distribution in professional production, editing, and smart home environments. It features a scalable architecture where I/O boards can be slid into the enclosure to increase the matrix size as needed. Form Factor: 3RU (Rack Unit) standard aluminum alloy case. Dimensions: 5.2" H x 17.4" W (18.8" with mounting ears) x 17" D. Scalability: Supports various I/O configurations, commonly up to 32x16 or 32x32 depending on board types. Signal Types: Compatible with a wide range of signals, including Composite, S-video, HDTV (Y/Pb/Pr), RGBHV, and various analog/digital audio formats. Bandwidth: Maintains high linearity, with wideband video typically rated at 300 MHz or better at +/-3 dB. Power: 100-240 VAC single phase; max consumption of 240–260 Watts per loaded enclosure. Modular Design: I/O boards are hot-swappable or field-upgradable, allowing for easy expansion. Control Options: Standard RS-232/422 control ports supporting BCS serial protocol. Options for local control panels or blank front panels are available. Virtual Matrix: Programmable levels allow multiple enclosures to be treated as a single system or a single enclosure to be divided into independent routers.
