It combines a super-bright QHD screen, the SkyLink 2.0 transmission system, and a modified Android platform to keep flights stable even in tough operating conditions. Thanks to its tough build, swappable antennas, and range of connection ports, the controller is well suited to inspection work, aerial mapping, and public-safety missions where staying aware of surroundings and having a responsive system really matters. Key Features at a Glance 7.9-inch QHD touchscreen for sharp visual feedback on the job 2000-nit peak brightness so the screen stays readable in bright sun 2048 × 1536 resolution at 60 Hz for crisp, detailed video SkyLink 2.0 with multi-band frequency hopping for a stable signal 8-core Qualcomm chip that handles smooth 4K playback and overall performance Modified Android OS compatible with third-party apps 128 GB of built-in storage for logs and footage, no memory card needed Swappable dual antennas for replacements or upgrades A Screen Made for Sunlit Job Sites With a 7.9-inch Ultra-HD panel running at 2048 × 1536 resolution and hitting up to 2000 nits of brightness, this display is built to stay legible outdoors. Anti-glare coating plus True Tone color adjustment help the screen adapt automatically as lighting shifts, so pilots can keep a clear eye on their footage whether they're inspecting infrastructure, mapping terrain, or responding to a public-safety incident in harsh daylight. Stable Signal Through SkyLink 2.0 SkyLink 2.0 operates across five frequency bands: 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 5.1 GHz, 5.7 GHz, and 5.8 GHz. The bands switch automatically to dodge interference. Pilots get 2.7K video quality out to roughly 0.6 miles (1 km), and the link can hold 1080p video out to about 9+ miles (15 km under FCC rules) in open terrain. The result is a dependable connection even when the RF environment gets crowded. An Adaptable Android Setup for Business Use Because it runs on customized Android, the Smart Controller supports outside apps and can be tailored to fit a team's specific workflow, not just basic flight functions. HDMI, USB-A, and USB-C ports make it easy to stream video or move data, and SMA antenna connectors let operators swap in different antennas. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth round things out for teams that need extra peripherals or networked setups. Built to Last, Powered to Go the Distance A 5800 mAh battery keeps the controller running for around four hours at half brightness, or about 2.5 hours at full brightness. And it recharges in roughly two hours. The housing uses reinforced composite materials with a laser-etched texture and carries an IP43 rating, so it can handle real field use. It's rated to work in temperatures from -4°F to 104°F (-20°C to 40°C). Autel EVO Max Smart Controller is aimed at operators who need a bright, adaptable, well-connected control unit for demanding Autel EVO Max work — pairing display quality, processing muscle, and connectivity to cut down on friction during complex jobs.
