Austin Cedar Mini Bat Tower

Channel the spirit of the Bat Capital of the World with our Austin Cedar Mini Bat Tower! Inspired by the massive bat emergence at Austin's Congress Avenue Bridge, this shelter offers a space-saving way to host your own local bat population. Featuring a tall, elongated silhouette with a built-in extended landing pad at the base, its deep vertical roost and heat-retaining upper chamber allow up to 60 adult bats—including Mexican free-tailed, evening, and brown bats—to cluster safely inside. These beneficial insect-eaters act as the ultimate natural bodyguard for your landscape, clearing your yard and garden of thousands of mosquitoes, moths, and beetles every single night. Crafted from long-lasting natural cedar with a clean finish, the Mini Bat Tower features horizontal landing grooves along the exposed bottom backboard for an easy grip right at the entrance. The natural cedar will weather into a beautiful patina over time, or you can paint or stain the exterior to match your house (leaving the interior and landing pad completely raw so bats can cling securely). With included mounting hardware and a lightweight design, installation is quick and simple 15 to 20 feet high on a post, tree, or exterior wall facing maximum sunlight. Shipped directly from the Austin Visitors Center, it’s an ideal high-capacity roosting option for eco-conscious hosts, gardeners, and wildlife enthusiasts everywhere!
