AudioQuest PowerQuest TV3 Surge Protector & Noise Filter

AudioQuest PowerQuest TV3: Compact, Non‑Sacrificial Surge Protector Designed for wall-mounted televisions and compact entertainment setups, the AudioQuest PowerQuest TV3 delivers robust protection and clean power in a small footprint. Its non‑sacrificial surge suppression withstands repeated strikes of up to 6000V/3000A without degrading internal components, while extreme‑voltage shutdown disengages the circuit in less than a quarter second when voltage exceeds 140 VAC, keeping connected equipment safe. AudioQuest’s Linear Noise‑Dissipation technology employs differential‑ and common‑mode filtering to reduce noise over a wide frequency range, ensuring uncompressed power for your soundbar, receiver, television or projector, and streaming devices. The TV3 integrates three purpose‑built outlets – one high‑current outlet for demanding amplifiers and two linear‑filtered outlets for noise‑sensitive electronics. A detachable 36 inch PQ‑415 AC power cable with semi‑solid concentric Long‑Grain Copper conductors and a flat‑to‑wall plug maximizes conductivity and convenience; a cable retention cage and drywall mounting hardware provide secure installation options. Measuring just 10 inches wide by 6.125 inches high and 1.75 inches deep and weighing 3.5 pounds, the TV3 fits neatly behind a TV, under a desk or inside a backbox, making it an ideal upgrade for any video system. AudioQuest PowerQuest TV3 Key Features: Non‑sacrificial surge suppression withstands multiple 6000 V/3000 A surges without wearing out. Extreme‑voltage shutdown opens the main relay at 140 VAC in under 0.25 seconds and resets automatically when power levels normalize. Linear Noise‑Dissipation uses differential‑ and common‑mode filtering to reduce noise by more than 22 dB from 30 kHz to 1 GHz. Three AC outlets (one high‑current, two linear‑filtered) provide optimized power delivery for different components. Includes a 36″ PQ‑415 detachable power cable with 14 AWG semi‑solid concentric LGC conductors, flat‑to‑wall plug and retention cage. Compact metal chassis with fixed installation mounts and drywall hardware for easy wall, desk or backbox installation. AudioQuest PowerQuest TV3 Full Product Specifications: Surge suppression: non‑sacrificial; withstands multiple 6000 V/3000 A input surges without damage. AudioQuest PowerQuest TV3 Product Q&A: What makes the PowerQuest TV3 “non‑sacrificial”? Unlike traditional surge protectors that rely on components that wear out after absorbing a large surge, the TV3’s circuitry can endure repeated strikes up to 6000 V/3000 A without degrading, so it never needs replacement after a power surge. How does extreme‑voltage shutdown protect my equipment? The TV3 monitors incoming voltage and automatically opens its high‑current relay when voltage exceeds 140 VAC; this happens in less than 0.25 seconds, isolating your gear from dangerous overvoltage. Once the power returns to a safe range, the unit resets and resumes normal operation. What types of outlets are provided? The unit offers three AC outlets: one high‑current outlet designed to supply uncompressed power to amplifiers or soundbars, and two linear‑filtered outlets that reduce noise for televisions, projectors and streaming devices. How does the Linear Noise‑Dissipation system work? AudioQuest’s Linear Noise‑Dissipation combines differential‑ and common‑mode filtering to remove more than 22 dB of noise across a wide frequency range, helping your audio and video components perform at their best. What’s special about the included PQ‑415 power cable? The detachable 36‑inch cable uses 14 AWG semi‑solid concentric Long‑Grain Copper conductors and direction‑controlled design to minimize distortion and dissipate noise. Its flat‑to‑wall plug saves space, and the retention cage keeps the connector secure. Where can the TV3 be installed? With its compact metal chassis and included drywall mounting hardware, the TV3 can be installed behind a wall‑mounted TV, under a desk or entertainment unit, inside a backbox or anywhere additional outlets are needed. What is the maximum current and power consumption? The TV3 supports up to 10 A RMS input current and typically draws less than 0.5 A at 120 VAC, even when supplying power to all three outlets. Why choose the PowerQuest TV3 over a standard power strip? Standard power strips lack the TV3’s non‑sacrificial surge suppression, extreme‑voltage shutdown and advanced noise filtering. The TV3 protects your equipment, improves performance and offers installation options tailored to modern home entertainment systems.
