Audio Technica LP8X Semi Automatic Direct Drive Turntable

Audio Technica LP8X Semi Automatic Direct Drive Turntable Semi-automatic direct-drive turntable with three speeds: 33-1/3, 45, and 78 RPM Motor features a speed-sensor system to maintain accurate platter rotation speed Newly designed low-torque, direct-drive DC servo motor improves wow and flutter performance 25 mm rubber-damped, anti-resonance, die-cast aluminum platter with a 2.5 mm rubber mat J-shaped tonearm with adjustable VTA (vertical tracking angle) Newly designed tonearm lift automatically raises the tonearm at the end of a record side and stops the motor AT-VM95E BK (black) cartridge with a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus, compatible with any VM95 Series replacement stylus for versatile options Newly designed lightweight AT-LT10 headshell Included subcounterweight provides an expanded cartridge/headshell weight range of 14.0 g – 23.5 g Newly designed internal switching power supply optimized for audio performance MDF (medium density fiberboard) cabinet construction Phono-level output provides pure, direct transmission of the cartridge’s signal Includes detachable RCA output cable (dual RCA male to dual RCA male with ground), 45 RPM adapter, and removable hinged dust cover A dedicated SP cartridge or the replacement AT-VMN95SP stylus is required to play 78 RPM records Audio-Technica enhances its direct-drive turntable lineup with the semi-automatic AT-LP8X, which features an innovative tonearm lift that automatically raises the tonearm at the end of a record side, halting the motor. The turntable's J-shaped aluminum tonearm, drawing inspiration from classic A-T models of the 1960s and ’70s, is paired with a newly designed AT-LT10 headshell and the AT-VM95E BK cartridge, featuring a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus. This combination ensures excellent channel separation and minimal distortion, delivering exceptional tonal quality. For added versatility, the stylus can be replaced or interchanged with any of the five additional options available in the VM95 line, while the tonearm's adjustable VTA (vertical tracking angle) and subcounterweight allow compatibility with a wide range of other cartridges. The AT-LP8X supports playback of 33-1/3, 45, and 78 RPM records. Its 25 mm rubber-damped, anti-resonance, die-cast aluminum platter includes a 2.5 mm rubber mat and is driven by a motor monitored by sensors to maintain consistently accurate platter rotation speed. The motor, along with its efficient internal switching power supply, is housed within a sturdy 16 mm MDF (medium density fiberboard) plinth, complete with height-adjustable feet to effectively mitigate unwanted noise and vibration. Included with the turntable are a detachable RCA output cable (dual RCA male to dual RCA male with ground), a 45 RPM adapter, and a removable hinged dust cover.
