The build is refined and comfortable, with high‑quality materials that feel light yet sturdy and plush earpads that make long listening sessions effortless.   Sonically, the ADX7000 pairs dynamic, hard‑hitting bass with a spacious, three‑dimensional soundstage. The low‑end leans into a midbass bump that delivers palpable slam and texture without overwhelming the rest of the signature, while the mids remain clear and present with good vocal clarity. Treble extends with air and detail, contributing to a wide stereo image without becoming fatiguing.   That combination of weighty midbass presence, engaging mids, and airy highs gives the ATH‑ADX7000 a musicality that’s both exciting and refined, capable of making familiar tracks feel immediate and alive. For listeners seeking an open‑back headphone that delivers open, spacious imaging with substantial low‑end energy, the ADX7000 hits a sweet spot between technical acuity and pure listening enjoyment. Natural High-Resolution Sound Featuring full, natural bass response and smooth, articulate mids and upper mids, the ATH-ADX7000 allows unrestricted airflow to deliver a truly lifelike listening experience, with excellent spatial definition and accurate soundstage.  The bass response is uncommonly full and powerful for a pair of open-backs, with solid weight and excellent control. Subtle details come through clearly and naturally in the midrange, making instruments feel present and lifelike, with excellent spatial definition and accurate placement across the soundstage. The upper mids and treble are poised, delivering the right mix of air and refinement without sounding harsh or dampened. This lends intimacy to vocals and a natural realism to transients. A Driver Unlike Any Other The innovative manufacturing process behind the HXDT driver results in a precisely shaped diaphragm, which is essential for premium open-back headphone performance. All circular driver components, including the baffle plate, magnet, voice coil, and diaphragm, are concentrically aligned to ensure consistent diaphragm movement, improved transient response, and cleaner, more natural sound reproduction.  In-House Innovation The headphones’ aluminum housings feature a honeycomb-punched design that keeps the housing face open to ventilation. To improve airflow to the diaphragm, the driver unit is optimally positioned within the housing via Audio-Technica's proprietary Core Mount Technology. Combined, the HXDT and Open-Air design elements allow the entire sound output to come directly from the diaphragm, resulting in more accurate, dynamic, and detailed sonic performance.  Flagship Construction The frame is constructed of thin, rigid magnesium alloy, providing strength and stability while keeping the headphones very lightweight (275 g with the velvet earpads, 265 g with the Alcantara). The magnesium frame plays a key role in dampening unnecessary vibrations generated by the driver’s powerful new voice coil, thus minimizing coloration and enhancing sonic purity. The result is premium comfort and uncompromising performance.  Specifications Driver Diameter: 58mm Frequency Response: 5-50,000kHz Sensitivity: 100dB/mW Impedance: 490 ohms Connector: A2DC connector jack Weight: Approx. 9.7oz In the Box Audio-Technica ATH-ADX7000 headphones 3.0m Cable with 6.3mm gold-plated stereo plug 3.0 Balanced cable with XLR-M connector (4pin) Ear pads Hard shell carry case Cable pouch
