Audio-Technica AT-LP70X

AT-LP70X The AT-LP70X Fully Automatic Belt-Drive Turntable is the perfect beginner turntable for those beginning their audiophile journey. Designed to offer a quality sound experience for those who love listening to records, from flipping through albums at the record store to placing a record on the turntable, cueing the tonearm, and sitting back with the album art in hand to enjoy music as the artist intended. Combining the experience of warm, analog audio with user-friendly features, this turntable plays both 33-1/3 and 45 RPM records and has a built-in switchable phono preamp that allows the turntable to connect to a home stereo, powered speakers, or another component, with or without a dedicated phono input. At the heart of the AT-LP70X is a top-notch phono cartridge for unmatched, high-fidelity audio. Built with Audio-Technica’s industry-leading phono cartridge expertise, the AT-VM95C is a versatile, superior-performance cartridge that other turntables in this class simply can’t beat. Integrated into the J-shaped tonearm, the AT-VM95C cartridge with a 0.6 mil conical stylus offers excellent channel separation and low distortion for outstanding tonal quality. To further personalize vinyl listening, the stylus can also be easily upgraded with any other styli (elliptical, micro linear, or Shibata) in our VM95 Series, offering unprecedented customization for a turntable in this category. To ensure peak sound performance, the AT-LP70X includes a three-piece, anti-resonance chassis that provides a solid foundation to dampen unwanted noise for improved sound quality. The included AC adapter further reduces noise as the AC/DC conversion is moved to the outside of the chassis to limit any unfavorable noise. The AT-LP70X comes with a detachable RCA cable (dual RCA male to dual RCA male with ground), 45 RPM adapter, and a removable hinged dust cover. Available in three sleek colors, Black/Silver, Black/Bronze, or White/Silver to customize your turntable to your style preference.     Simple, Intuitive Design Easy to Use With its integrated AT-VM95C cartridge the turntable's J-shaped tonearm requires no additional setup, such as balancing or cartridge installation. But then if you’d prefer something harking back nostalgically to the Wooden Age, you’ll need to pay at least several hundreds of dollars more. So the bronze is a nice compromise, as are the automatic operation, the almost zero-effort set-up, and the performance, which is impressive and enjoyable at the price, and easily upgradeable if you want a bit more." -  Jez Ford   Audio-Technica AT-LP70X Review: Best Automatic Turntable on a Budget - Read More "After spending some time with the two Audio Technicas and the Monolith turntable, I would definitely say it's worth upgrading to either of the more expensive players. Both the LP70X and Monolith feature enhanced build quality and improved sound quality. As to which I would recommend? The Monolith performed a little better, but it was trumped by the simpler LP70X and its automatic operation.   With its svelte appearance, ease of use and sparkling sound quality, the Audio-Technica AT-LP70X is perfect for vinyl fans on a budget." -  Ty Pendlebury   Audio-Technica AT-LP70X turntable review: The new entry-level champ - Read More  "And now with the option to explore a whole range of styli upgrades that will surely extend the life of the turntable as the user grows, I’m left curious about how much better I can get the LP70X to sound. " - Derek Malcolm        One of the Best Affordable Turntables Gets Its First Real Upgrade in Years - Read More "The Audio-Technica AT-LP70X notably has two improvements over its predecessor. First, it comes with the company’s new entry-level moving-magnet phono cartridge, the AT-VM95C. Second, it has a “three-piece, anti-resonance chassis” designed to dampen vibrations and improve sound quality. It’s worth noting that you can easily upgrade the AT-VM95C phono cartridge that comes with the AT-LP70X with any other cartridge —elliptical, elliptical nude, microlinear or Shibata — in Audio-Technica’s VM95 Series." - Tucker Bowe       SPECIFICATIONS Motor DC motor Drive Method Belt-drive Speeds 33-1/3 RPM, 45 RPM Turntable Platter Die-cast aluminium Wow and Flutter < 0.25% (WTD) Signal-to-Noise Ratio > 55 dB Cartridge Type This product is equipped with an AT-VM95C Dual Moving Magnet Stereo Cartridge.
