AUDEZE- LCD-3 Headphones

The LCD-3 is a time machine that puts you in the room with your favorite artists and musicians. It’s luxuriously spacious, with powerful bass, a rich and engaging midrange, and a top-end that draws you into the music. Its rich, vibrant sound has scale and authority derived from a deep, ambient soundstage with exciting detail and dynamics. The LCD-3 is said to be the best in the world and its natural timbre, especially through the midrange, has been described as a thing of beauty. "In design, build, and performance, they’re the epitome of high-end." Exclusive LCD-3 planar magnetic technology Acoustically engineered for accuracy Audeze’s innovative planar magnetic technology delivers an astonishingly lifelike sound. Diaphragms thinner than a human hair We use space-age materials to fabricate an ultra thin diaphragm four times larger than typical headphones delivering fast response times, dramatically reduced distortion, higher resolution and improved imaging. Near zero distortion Double-sided magnet arrays delivers a uniform driving force across the entire diaphragm for near zero distortion. Internal soundwaves Patented Fazor™ Elements guide internal headphone soundwaves to avoid resonance producing a more accurate waveform. Designed, engineered and handcrafted in the USA The LCD-3 is thoroughly engineered for long-term comfort and spacious, realistic sound. We closely match our planar transducers, and match our beautiful factory-made wood rings by grain and color. We use tropical West African Zebrano hardwood -- known as Zebra wood -- not listed in the CITES Appendices. We also match the earpads by leather texture and color. You can choose lambskin leather or Microsuede headbands and earcups that are filled with carefully selected foam for best sound and comfort during long listening sessions. Pair the LCD-3 with a quality headphone amplifier or integrated amp for best sound. Industrial design by Audeze You’ll be proud of how the LCD-3 looks and sounds. It’s imbued with sophisticated looks and beautiful hand-made rings. The quality of the entire structure guarantees years of trouble-free listening. Our cutting-edge designs and circuit technologies have created an astonishingly beautiful sounding headphone. Features Planar magnetic drivers for better dynamics and frequency response Premium leather for style and durability Audeze Technology Fazor™ elements Large ultra thin-film diaphragms Double-sided magnetic structure Package Includes 2.5m 1/4in to dual 4-pin mini-XLR cable 3.5mm to 1/4in stereo adapter Ruggedized travel case Specifications Style Open circumaural Transducer type Planar magnetic Magnetic structure Proprietary push-pull design Magnet type Neodymium Transducer size 106 mm Maximum power handling 5W RMS / 15W PEAK Sound pressure level >130dB with 15W Frequency response 5Hz – 20kHz extended out to 50kHz Total harmonic distortion <1% through entire frequency range Impedance 110 ohms Efficiency 102dB / 1mW Optimal power requirement 1 – 4W Listen Responsibly  To avoid damage to your headphones and/or hearing, ensure the volume on your player is turned down before connecting your headphones.
