AU Rubrum Plum (bare root)

Developed at Auburn University, this tree produces fruit that is ideal for canning, preserving and fresh eating. Fruit is very large and is delicious, sweet and juicy.   These plums have a sweet red flesh and very dark red skin. Ripens mid-late June. Partially self fertile, but will produce much better when pollinated with another AU variety or the Methley plum.  Ideal for zones 5-9 and requires 650 chill hours. ******Due to the sensitivity of bare root plums---we will begin shipping them in January through the end of February ONLY!.  These trees MUST be planted as soon as possible once they are received.****
