At Night and Other Poems, by T. E. Niemi

Poetry, chapbook, 36 pages, from Bottlecap Features. Though At Night and Other Poems deals with common poetic themes—love and loss, nature's beauty, the transience of life—its approach to them is remarkably varied. Containing such traditional poetic forms as the haiku, villanelle and rondel, it also includes variations on the limerick, elegy, aphorism and epigram. Major poetic movements are represented, too, such as romanticism, imagism and modernism. It even includes parody and nonsense verse. In short, it's a selection of poems that will likely appeal to anyone, regardless of one's poetic tastes. A native of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, T. E. Niemi has lived in New Hampshire since 2005, where he writes poems, screenplays and stories. His poems have appeared in Inkfish Magazine, The Galway Review, Spectrum, Confingo magazine, and elsewhere. At Night and Other Poems is his debut chapbook.
