Atlas Globe

Some people want a world globe that is more than just a simple globe - if you find yourself looking for the desk globe that has more to it than just a map, look no further than the Mythical Atlas Globe a 12-inch bronze metallic color globe featuring a raised relief surface. This unique model is steeped in Greek mythology, bringing to life the story of Zeus and Atlas. Legend tells us that Atlas was sent to hold the world forever on his shoulders, as a way to repent for his sins. This stunning and dynamic world globe beautifully depicts Atlas supporting the world on his shoulders, the bronze resin artfully carved to show his strong muscles flexing underneath the weight. The Atlas Globe stands 20 inches tall and features a beautiful, real-life world globe atop Atlas shoulders mounted with a full meridian, depicting the modern-day geography of our Earth and the world in which we live. Light, pearl-like champagne colored oceans are the perfect backdrop for brightly colored, gold and bronze continents and countries that are highlighted by political boundaries and raised relief. Not only is this gorgeous globe a magnificent work of art, but it is also an eye-catching and dynamic educational and reference tool.
