Atlantisite Ring Size 7.5 This ring is made from .925 Sterling Silver. You will receive the exact piece as pictured. Atlantisite is a unique and relatively rare mineral combination that consists of two distinct minerals: serpentine and stichtite. It is named after the mythical lost city of Atlantis due to its striking appearance and its discovery in Tasmania, which has a mysterious allure similar to the legendary city. Serpentine is a green mineral that belongs to the silicate group. It is often used as a gemstone and is known for its various shades of green, from pale to dark. Stichtite, on the other hand, is a soft purple mineral that belongs to the carbonate group. When these two minerals occur together, they create a beautiful combination of colors: green from the serpentine and purple from the stichtite. Atlantisite is typically found in a compact form, often resembling small nodules or cabochons. The green and purple colors are usually swirled together in intricate patterns, creating a visually captivating effect. Due to the contrasting colors and the unique combination of minerals, Atlantisite is a popular choice for lapidaries and collectors who appreciate its aesthetic appeal. Metaphysically, Atlantisite is believed by some to possess healing properties associated with both serpentine and stichtite. It's thought to promote a sense of balance, calm, and emotional healing. Serpentine is associated with grounding energy and connecting to the Earth, while stichtite is believed to enhance spiritual awareness and support emotional transformation.
