Contact the Atelier Curator The Atelier Destino Boot — handcrafted in Cognac Crazy Horse Leather. A cornerstone of the City & Field Series, defined by its rugged wax-treated silhouette and effortless symmetric twin-zip entry. Atelier No. 71 records the unique map of your journey. The Story The map is not the territory. El Destino ("The Destination") is designed for the man who navigates life with intention — from the driver’s seat of a vintage machine to the open road. Constructed from Genuine Crazy Horse Leather, this is a robust study in momentum. The high-grade cowhide is treated with special waxes that create a "pull-up" effect: the color lightens and shifts with movement, healing itself and evolving as you walk. Character is destiny. Design Notes Materials Vamp: Premium Cognac Crazy Horse Leather. An oil-tanned hide that develops a deep, vintage patina rapidly and resists the elements with ease. Lining: Smooth full-calfskin lining for superior breathability and a refined interior feel. Sole: Engineered rubber outsole selected for confident grip on pavement and earth alike. Hardware: Heavy-duty antique brass twin-zippers for a secure, balanced entry ritual. Signature Details Symmetric Entry: Dual side zippers ensure a clean, architectural ankle fit and modern efficiency. The Toe: Refined Western Square Toe that provides comfort and a strong stance without bulk. The Finish: "Living Color" wax finish that allows travel scuffs to become part of the boot's unique character. Wearing Experience Fit: Crafted on an atelier-specific last. Most clients take their usual US size. If you are between sizes or prefer a more relaxed fit for heavy socks, we recommend sizing up by half. Break-in: Structured at first; softens naturally after 2–3 wears as the oil-tanned leather settles to your stride. Care: Buff minor scuffs with your thumb; use a specialized leather balm occasionally to re-hydrate the waxes. The Mark of Craftsmanship Luxury here is discipline: selecting Crazy Horse leather requires an expert eye to ensure a hide that is reactive enough to age beautifully. Every pair is a signature of authentic organic origin. Design Inspiration The worn leather of a vintage saddle. The symmetry of a well-built engine. A man who understands that preparation gives way to presence. He enters without noise. Everything adjusts. NOTE ON PROVENANCE This piece begins as a singular hide—no two alike. Natural variations in pattern and tone are not imperfections, but the signature of origin—a quiet record ensuring your pair is truly one-of-a-kind. ↗ Share this piece FAQ Why does the leather mark so easily? That is the intended "pull-up" effect of Crazy Horse leather. The waxes move when touched, creating a vintage patina that documents your journey. Is this a dress boot? It is a "rugged casual" masterpiece. While elegant, its waxy matte finish is best suited for premium denim, chinos, and textured flannel. Is it water resistant? Yes. The high oil and wax content provides excellent natural water resistance, making it ideal for unpredictable weather.
