ATC SCM19 v2 Large Stand-Mount Speaker

Description The SCM19 is ATC's "large" sized stand-mount speaker, and the lowest price model that incorporates "SL" (Super Linear) driver technology. The cabinet features curved sides and a sealed box bass alignment. Drive units are made in house: 1" ATC soft dome featuring a 1.5 tesla neodymium magnet with dual suspension and no ferrofluid for long life. 6" ATC Super Linear mid / woofer featuring a short coil / long gap voicecoil, a huge 19.8lb magnet system and integral 3" soft dome for wide mid-frequency dispersion. Reviews What Hi-Fi Awards 2016: “These ATCs are analytical yet never sound clinical or passionless. They remain transparent to the original recording and system electronics. And when it comes to insight and honesty, we haven’t heard any better for the money.” Soundstage Experience: "ATC’s trademark effortless sound was still there in the SCM19 V2 -- but sound is the wrong word. What I heard was so effortless that I never heard a trace of the existence of a crossover and separate drivers. It was as if the term headroom had never been coined." The Absolute Sound:  "There’s a very short list of rivals that play in the league of the SCM19. And even fewer at this attainable price point. Although this review should speak for itself, let me reiterate: The ATC SCM19 is, without reservation, a superb monitor that should excite and please the most discriminating of listeners." Stereophile Class A Recommended Components 2016: "In addition to the musical and technical virtues of a competently executed sealed-box design, ATC's SCM19 two-way monitor is big enough to make a major sonic impact in most listening rooms of reasonable size, and small enough not to trip over its own feet. Low distortion, zero fatigue, great looks, fair price. What's not to like?"
