Atari Missile Command Recharged Pro+ 2 Player Arcade Cabinet by Alan-1

The Atari Missile Command Recharged Pro+ 2 Player Arcade Cabinet by Alan-1, where precision-engineered arcade heritage meets competition-ready modern play. Atari's Missile Command returns to the arcade floor for the first time in 45 years, rebuilt from the ground up with exclusive enhancements, two dedicated player stations, and deep online tournament integration. Crafted for those who seek the authentic arcade experience, whether in a home game room, a traditional arcade, an arcade bar, a theater lobby, a free-play venue, or on a commercial route, the Recharged Pro delivers the trackball-driven intensity of the original with a layer of modern depth that keeps players coming back. About the Manufacturer Alan-1, Inc. Alan-1 has been engineering licensed arcade cabinets from its factory in Tooele, Utah since 2017. The company works directly with IP holders including Atari to produce genuine, original arcade releases rather than licensed skins over generic hardware. Alan-1's custom Video Arcade System and 400 i/oT input-output board are designed and built in-house, and every cabinet carries an ETL listing for the United States and Canada. Owning an Alan-1 machine means owning a piece of American arcade manufacturing at a moment when almost none of it is left. Missile Command Returns to the Arcade After 45 Years For the first time since the original 1980 cabinet, Missile Command is back on the arcade floor as a dedicated upright machine. Alan-1 partnered with Atari to bring the game back with gameplay that honors every core mechanic of the original while adding a full layer of modern enhancements. Players take command of a nuclear missile defense base, using the trackball to aim and three buttons to fire defensive missiles. The objective is unchanged: keep your cities alive as wave after wave of atomic threats descends from the sky. The 45-year gap makes this cabinet genuinely rare. There is no other current-production dedicated Missile Command upright available today, which gives this machine a prestige that multi-game cabinets simply cannot match. Two Player Stations with Authentic Trackball Controls Each of the two player stations is equipped with an RGB LED trackball and three player buttons, mirroring the control layout of the original Missile Command cabinet. Both stations are fully independent, allowing simultaneous two-player competitive or cooperative play. The trackball is the defining input of Missile Command. Cursor speed, targeting precision, and the split-second decision of which base button to fire all flow through it, and Alan-1 has built each station to replicate that tactile experience faithfully. For operators on a route or in a high-traffic venue, dual stations mean two players per game, higher throughput, and stronger revenue potential per square foot of floor space. Dynamic RGB LED Lighting on the Trackballs and T-Molding The Pro+ upgrades the unlit controls and plain edge trim of the standard Pro to RGB LED trackballs and dynamic RGB LED T-molding that runs the full outline of the cabinet. The trackball glows under the player's hand and the edge trim cycles colour, so the machine reads as active from across a room even when nobody is playing it. That matters most in the venues this cabinet is aimed at. In an arcade bar or a lounge where the house lights are already down, a lit cabinet is what pulls a walk-up player across the floor. Physical Effects: Wind Blowers, Shaker Motors and a Cabinet Knocker The Pro+ adds a physical effects package the Pro does not have: a wind blower for each player, small and large shaker motors, and an internal pinball knocker. Incoming warheads arrive with air across your hands, the cabinet shakes under a detonation, and the knocker fires a hard mechanical crack when the Alpha-1 Protocol goes off. These are the same effect types used on modern pinball machines, and they turn a trackball game into something the player feels rather than only watches. The Big Red Button and Alpha-1 Protocol Each player station includes "The Big Red Button," which triggers the Alpha-1 Protocol when pressed. Activating it wipes every active threat from the screen in a single moment of relief, useful when an incoming wave becomes overwhelming. The Protocol comes with a limited number of uses per game, so players must decide when the situation genuinely demands it. That decision point adds a layer of strategy to a game already defined by split-second choices. In a venue setting, The Big Red Button is a physical crowd moment. Players watching from behind will react to it, and that social energy is exactly what keeps a cabinet drawing attention on a busy floor. Exclusive Gameplay Enhancements: All 50 U.S. States The Recharged Pro+ includes a full set of exclusive content additions developed by Alan-1. Players can defend all 50 U.S. states, each with its own state-specific background art that changes the visual context of the mission from one stage to the next. Additional enhancements include restored DEFEND CITIES and THE END text and effects from the original game, new raid sounds, new voice overs, improved power-ups, a special ending, and Alan-1's own MLeS Integration for score tracking and tournaments. The state-specific backgrounds give returning players a reason to keep progressing. A player in Illinois who has only ever seen the Illinois background has a concrete goal: get far enough to see every state. MLeS Integration: Global Competition With No Online Fees The Recharged Pro+ ships with full Major League eSports (MLeS) integration built in. Players create a free Alan-1 account, download the MLeS app, and connect their scores on this cabinet to a global high-score leaderboard and live tournament ecosystem. MLeS supports league points, friend lists, team formation, and Alan-1 Championship Tournaments with prizes for top performers. The cabinet communicates via wired or WiFi connection, and there are no ongoing online fees for operators or players. For operators, this is a retention tool. A player who has accumulated league points on your machine has a reason to return to your location specifically, rather than any other Missile Command cabinet on the circuit. Hand-Made Cabinet Artwork by Alejandro Radio The cabinet artwork was designed and hand-crafted by Alan-1 studio artist Alejandro Radio. The artwork wraps the full upright cabinet and is matched by an art bezel surrounding the 32-inch screen. The result is a cabinet that reads as a finished, intentional piece from across a room. It is not generic side-art-on-MDF. It is original illustration commissioned specifically for this machine and executed by an artist working in the Alan-1 studio. 32-Inch 1080p HD Display The Recharged Pro+ features a 32-inch 1080p HD screen set behind an art bezel that carries the cabinet artwork right up to the edge of the picture. At 32 inches, the display is large enough to be clearly visible from a standing position at the cabinet and from a few feet back in a spectator position. HD resolution keeps the enhanced artwork and state-specific backgrounds sharp at full size. Full 1080p keeps the enhanced artwork and the fifty state backgrounds sharp across the whole panel, which matters on a screen this size where a lower resolution would show. 2.1ch Audio System The cabinet includes a 2.1-channel audio system that delivers the new raid sounds, voice overs, and soundtrack enhancements through a stereo-plus-subwoofer configuration. The low-end channel reinforces the impact of incoming missiles and defensive blasts in a way that a simple stereo pair cannot. Audio presence matters on a noisy arcade floor. A cabinet that can be heard from two positions away draws more walk-up plays than one that blends into the background noise of the room. Coin-Operated With Free Play Selectable: Built for Venues and Routes The Recharged Pro+ ships fitted with a coin door and coin box, making it ready for commercial deployment straight out of the crate. Free play is also selectable, giving operators full flexibility to run the cabinet as a revenue-generating coin-op or as a free-play unit in lounges, rental properties, and free-play arcades. The compact upright footprint, at just over 31 inches wide and 29 inches deep, fits into venue spaces where a larger cabinet would not. That size advantage, combined with coin-op readiness and the MLeS player retention system, makes the Recharged Pro a practical choice for both established arcade routes and new venue deployments. No bill validator or specific cashless system is included or published for this model. Operators should contact Alan-1 or their distribution partner for guidance on payment hardware configurations.
