AstraLite Top Quilt

AstraLite – Ultralight Down Backpacking Quilt The AstraLite is an ultralight down backpacking quilt built for fast-paced miles, cool-weather nights, and the kind of freedom only a quilt can offer. Weighing just 16 ounces, it provides premium insulation and versatility for thru-hikers, fast-packers, and minimalist backpackers who want warmth without excess. Filled with high-loft 850+ fill power goose down and built with ultralight 12-denier ripstop nylon, the AstraLite balances warmth, weight, and durability in a streamlined package. The quilt’s closed footbox helps lock in heat where you need it most, while the elastic pad attachment system secures the quilt to your sleeping pad—minimizing drafts and maximizing comfort through the night. With no zippers or hoods to fuss with, the AstraLite offers the kind of unrestricted sleep that quilts are known for—while maintaining Western Mountaineering’s legendary build quality and performance standards. Whether you’re logging long days on the PCT, AT, or CDT, this quilt is built to move light and sleep warm. Available in two lengths (5’8″ fits users up to 6’0″, and 6’4″ fits users up to 6’6″), the AstraLite is best paired with an R-4 or higher sleeping pad for optimal thermal efficiency in cooler weather. For hikers who count grams, chase big mileage, and prioritize adaptable comfort, the AstraLite offers quilted perfection without compromise—because sleeping light shouldn’t mean sleeping cold. Proudly made in the USA.
