Vision in White Astilbe

The airy Vision in White Astilbe (Astilbe chinensis 'Vision in White') produces a multitude of large, fragrant, soft, white, plume-like flowers that float above bronze-green foliage for weeks! Rising above the mounds of lacy foliage, the white flowering spires bring in the bees and butterflies, and even a hummingbird or two! The Vision in White is a robust and compact plant with linen-white plumes that offer a striking contrast against the mound of glossy, dark bronze-green, finely-cut, textured foliage. At maturity, you can expect this Astilbe to reach a height of 20 to 30 inches! The Vision series is known for its compact nature and full-sized blooms that show off from late summer and into fall, without taking up vital garden space! Hardy and disease-resistant throughout USDA planting zones 4 to 8, these are widely adaptable perennials that deer and rabbits seldom bother with unless desperate! Landscape Application: These mid-summer blooming beauties are ideal for containers, in shaded and partly sunny gardens, or along the edge of woodlands! For maximum color and impact, mass Astilbe in groups beneath the understory of large trees for a gorgeous display. Lacy edging and front of the garden border accents, Astilbe are airy summer flowers and the foliage adds the finishing touch your garden beds and borders need to ease the transition between garden and lawn or hardscape! Requiring consistently moist highly organic soil. Humus forest gardens are a perfect example of where these plants will thrive, but these will be more tolerant to drier soils than other varieties of Astilbe. The use of mulch near the base of the plants to maintain moisture is recommended.
