Astilbe ‘Gladstone’ is a striking perennial known for its elegant, creamy white plumes that rise above a lush mound of deep green, fern-like foliage. Blooming in early to mid-summer, its feathery flowers create a soft, cloud-like effect that adds brightness and texture to shaded gardens. This variety thrives in moist, well-draining soil and partial to full shade, making it an excellent choice for woodland borders, shaded pathways, or water garden edges. With its refined beauty and ability to illuminate darker garden spaces, ‘Gladstone’ is a standout addition to any landscape. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Astilbe ‘Gladstone’ is a hardy and reliable plant, resistant to deer and rabbits while attracting beneficial pollinators like bees and butterflies. Its compact growth habit, reaching about 18-24 inches in height, makes it versatile for both small and large garden designs, whether planted in clusters, as an accent, or alongside shade-loving companions like hostas and ferns.
