Assos SS.neoPro Short Sleeve Jersey

About the only thing that is entry level with the Assos SS.neoPro Short Sleeve Jersey is the price. The neoPro short-sleeved jersey is another in a long line of Assos material innovations.   The first thing you’ll notice about the neoPro is the incorporation of various cycling nation’s national flags. The classic use of the national colors by the mixing of old cycling nations – France and Italy – with more recent powerhouse countries – USA, UK and Germany – will give everyone an attractive option. What sets these jerseys apart, though, is the use of 100% recycled materials to make the fabric. If you’ve ever wondered where all those p.e.t. bottles that get thrown away race after race go, well, here is one possible option. As environmentally friendly as the act of cycling is, the sport itself can hardly claim to leave a small carbon foot print. That said, improvements are being made, and this is one step in Assos’ target of having a zero impact.   Don’t think, though, that the neoPro jersey will feel like a plastic bottle. Rather, the polyethylene terephthalate base of the bottles is a family member of polyester. And using their deep knowledge of mixing polyester and elastane fibers, Assos converts p.e.t. bottles into a soft, smooth fabric that has the same high values of moisture transfer that the Uno_s7 jersey boasts.   The fit comes somewhere in between racing and performance. The supple material works with your body, never feeling restrictive or too snug, particularly when you are in the cycling position. Something that is a break from some of the other Assos jerseys, is the longer arms and taller collar. It is a distinctive look that Assos likes as a way to provide better coverage from the sun. These design features makes it even easier to extend the use of the neoPro longer into the cooler seasons, especially when you pair it with a heavier bodyInsulator and a pair of arm warmers.   The Assos SS.neoPro Short Sleeve Jersey is another interesting way to jazz up your cycling wardrobe. You’ll be able to show your affiliation to your favorite cycling nations while reinforcing the trend towards reducing the industry’s environmental impact.
