Assorted Strings

Assorted StringsAssorted Strings is a collection of captivating trailing plants known for their cascading growth and diverse, eye-catching foliage. It is an easy way to add instant movement to shelves, hanging baskets, and plant stands, helping any room feel more layered and styled. With the right light and a simple watering routine, these plants can trail beautifully for months and keep their unique leaf shapes looking crisp. If you want a single pick that delivers variety, texture, and a naturally draping look, Assorted Strings is a smart choice. Distinctive FeaturesThis grouping includes popular varieties such as String of Pearls (Senecio rowleyanus), String of Hearts (Ceropegia woodii), and String of Turtles (Peperomia prostrata), among others, each bringing its own leaf shape, pattern, and personality. Stems spill and trail naturally, creating a soft waterfall effect that works especially well in hanging planters and on high shelves. Many string plants have semi-succulent to succulent foliage that helps them handle slightly drier soil, while others prefer more even moisture, so good drainage and observation are key. The result is a curated mix of trailing texture that looks elegant up close and adds strong visual impact from across the room. Growing Conditions Sun: Bright, indirect light is best for most selections, and some types tolerate a few hours of gentle direct sun. Soil: Fast-draining mix, such as a cactus or succulent blend for drier types, and a light airy houseplant mix for types that prefer more even moisture. Water: Water based on the specific plant in your assortment, letting soil dry more for succulent types and keeping it lightly moist for moisture-loving types without sogginess. USDA Zones: 10 to 12 as outdoor plants, typically grown indoors in colder climates. Growth Habit: Trailing to cascading, with vines that lengthen over time and create a draped, flowing silhouette. Ideal Uses Focal Point: Hang in a bright spot where the cascading stems can create an instant statement. Shelves and Plant Stands: Let vines spill over edges to soften hard lines and add movement to a room. Terrariums: Use smaller-leaf selections in open terrariums for texture and a layered look with good airflow. Mixed Indoor Displays: Pair with upright houseplants to create contrast between vertical forms and trailing lines. Low Maintenance Care Watering: Check soil before watering and adjust to the plant type, since different strings prefer different dry-down timing. Pruning: Trim long vines to shape and encourage fullness, and use cuttings to start new pots when appropriate. Feeding: Feed lightly in spring and summer with a diluted houseplant fertilizer to support steady growth. Drainage: Use containers with drainage holes and do not let plants sit in water to prevent root issues. Why Choose Assorted Strings? Variety in One Purchase: A curated mix of popular trailing plants with different leaf shapes and textures. Cascading Growth: Creates a draped, elegant look that instantly upgrades shelves and hanging planters. Great for Styling: Adds movement and softness that helps indoor spaces feel more finished.
