Askar ACL200

Unveiling the Askar ACL200: A Trailblazer in Astrophotography Lenses Professional Astrophotographic Design: The Askar ACL200, a world-first 200mm astrophotographic lens, mimics the look of a standard camera lens but with specialized features for stellar imaging. Compact and User-Friendly: Boasting an integrated structure, the ACL200 is light, compact, and exceedingly easy to operate, making it suitable for both beginners and seasoned photographers. Optimized Optical Performance: Engineered to enhance astrophotography, the ACL200 eliminates the need for redundant optical accessories, offering exceptional clarity and control over distortions and chromatic aberrations. Versatile Dual Focal Adjustment: Features both coarse and fine (1mm) focal adjustments, streamlining the focus process for quick, precise settings. Adjustable Aperture for Flexibility: With a built-in adjustable aperture ranging from f/4 to f/22, the ACL200 excels in both celestial and terrestrial imaging, supporting a minimum focus distance of 3 meters. Built-In Flattener for Superior Image Quality: Integrated flattener addresses comatic and other aberrations, ensuring sharp and clear images across the entire field. Fast f/4 Focal Ratio: The relatively fast f/4 focal ratio reduces exposure times, lessening the tracking demands on equatorial mounts during long exposures. Enhanced Mounting and Handling: Includes a newly designed mounting ring with an extruding stalk for easy handle installation, and a Vixen-style dovetail finder slot on the handle facilitates the attachment of finders or controllers. Triple-Lens Array with ED Glass: The optical triplet includes two pieces of ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass, significantly reducing chromatic aberration compared to ordinary lenses and delivering crisper, more accurate images. Updated User Experience: Recent modifications aim to enhance usability with additional thumbscrews for secure mounting and a dual-connection handle that accommodates both controllers and finders simultaneously. The Askar ACL200 sets new standards in astrophotography, combining the simplicity of a camera lens with the powerful capabilities of an astrograph, promising both beginners and experts a user-friendly and enriching stargazing experience.
