Askar 185APO

Unveiling the Askar 185APO: A Vanguard in Astrophotography Exceptional Aperture and Optics: With its vast 185mm aperture and 1295mm focal length at f/7, the Askar 185APO significantly enhances light-gathering capability, allowing deeper and clearer celestial observations and astrophotography. Advanced Optical Design: Features a triplet air-spaced APO lens including ED glass, meticulously designed to reduce chromatic aberration and improve color accuracy, ensuring superior image quality. Robust Construction and Portability: Despite its large size, the Askar 185APO remains portable with a retractable lens tube design, making it manageable at a net weight of 14.9kg and a condensed length of 1081mm. Innovative Features for Enhanced Usability: Equipped with a unique name ring for personal identification, an integrated retractable design for the tube, and a rudder-type locking ring to ensure stability and ease of use during adjustments. Superior Focusing Capability: Boasts a 3.5-inch dual-speed rack and pinion focuser, compatible with most motorized focusers and designed for precise focusing with a high-precision scale on the 100mm focusing travel. Versatile Viewing and Imaging Options: The 185APO supports both visual observation and advanced astrophotography with its ability to attach to a binoviewer or use with a specific 0.8x reducer or 1.0x flattener. Integrated Accessory Mounting: Features two finder bases on either side of the focuser, enhancing the scope’s functionality by allowing easy addition of accessories without the need to disassemble existing setups. Precision Engineering: The entire tube is CNC machined with an anti-reflective interior and matting paint to minimize stray light, paired with anodized and surface spray paint treatments for durability and aesthetics. Adaptable Mounting System: Comes standard with a Losmandy dovetail plate, extended to 400mm for better balance and compatibility with a wide range of equatorial mounts. Optional Accessories for Expanded Capabilities: Includes options for a 1x flattener and a 0.8x reducer, each designed to integrate seamlessly and enhance the imaging capabilities of the Askar 185APO. The Askar 185APO represents the pinnacle of refractive astrograph design, combining exceptional optical quality with user-friendly features, making it an indispensable tool for both amateur and professional astronomers seeking to explore the cosmos.
