Bookmatch Ash Dining Table

The Bookmatch Ash Dining Table is becoming tougher and tougher to produce as the Ash tree population lessens. The Emerald Ash Borer, a native species of beetle, has greatly decreased the population of Ash trees by eating the nutrients of the trees by entering their bark. The Ash products that we sell utilize trees that have died, likely to these beetles. The wood is gathered from the trees before it begins to soften, but we do not cut Ash trees that are alive and thriving. These tables are an opportunity to display the beautiful creations of Ash trees before they are completely gone!  Please note that none of our tables are exactly the same. When working with real wood, each product will have some variation. Upon purchase, we will craft a similar table to your selected product if the pictured table has sold. Please contact us if you have any specific requests or questions! Each piece of Woodrich live edge furniture is a unique piece of art expertly crafted to accentuate the natural beauty of the wood and provide its owner with a lifetime of value. We are the only live edge furniture company who uses the innovative technologies created by the founder for milling and kiln drying wood. Our business has provided tremendous care over this piece of wood to take it from tree to shelf. Our product is designed by Mother Nature. When nature’s impact on the finished product has such an intense tie to the product it is imperative to manage organic materials with the respect they deserve. Logs are not grown with the intent to sell, but instead we seek out urban logs that have become deceased or in declining health. The holistic approach to providing a second life to each tree. Nature’s beauty is differentiated with the uniqueness found in each tree used. Every tree history creates unique character, color, shape, and size to create a highly individualized personality. The individuality in each piece provides for significant product differentiation and the ability for each work to stand alone as a piece of art. In a world of automation, we believe in controlling the process through manual craftsmanship taking each tree to table. This allows for the honoring each tree’s individual inherent value. Craftsmanship allows for the honoring of each wood’s innate beauty, flaws and eccentricities, which capture the beauty in each piece.
