Artsy Patches: Aotearoa

An embroidered patch featuring the islands of Aotearoa, or New Zeland as white people call it. Originally inhabited by the native Polynesian tribes that consistently and ritually warred with each other, multiple explorers visited the area between the 1600s and 1840, when several overlapping diplomatic nuances led to the United Kingdom claiming all of New Zealand as British sovereignty- mostly to keep the French from claiming anything in competition with the New Zealand Company. While the history and context of everything involving the island is just as deeply nuanced as everything else in the world, the obvious truth that exists is that the native inhabitants of the island have more claim to the decision-making process than some Crown over 5000 miles away. Spice up your outfit by adding an eye-catching embroidered patch to your ensemble! Our stylish, durable, and heat-resistant patches are perfect for airsofters, mil-sim enthusiasts, paintballers, security, and police who are trying to add a bit of flare or humor to their kits, or are looking for a unique way to express their individualism on the field.
