Arts & Crafts Copper Repoussé Trinket Box

Rectangular Arts & Crafts covered trinket box constructed of hardwood with a hand-worked repoussé copper panel inset into the lid. The copper panel depicts a pair of deer standing within a stylized woodland landscape rendered in raised relief with a finely stippled background and riveted border. Finger-jointed corners and simple rectilinear construction reflect the restrained craftsmanship associated with the Arts & Crafts movement, while the warm copper and wood tones create an appealing contrast. Suitable for storing jewelry, desk accessories, or small keepsakes, the box serves as both a functional storage piece and decorative object. Shows light age-related wear throughout. The copper panel exhibits an even warm patina with minor oxidation and scattered surface wear consistent with age. Hardwood surfaces display light scratches, minor finish wear, and small handling marks. Interior remains clean with light evidence of prior use. Underside exhibits moderate shelf wear with scattered scratches, scuffs, finish wear, and areas of discoloration. Residual adhesive and paper loss from a previously removed label are present across the center of the base. Additional scattered paint transfer and handling marks are visible throughout the underside. Overall good condition. 6.75" L x 3.5" W x 2.25" H MM - C-21523 - 062526 For information regarding shipping, please visit our Terms & Conditions page here.
