Our Artisan Soap Bars/ Loofah Soap Bars are made with but not limited to: Shea Butter Shea butter is a natural, plant-based fat derived from the nuts of the shea tree, which is native to Africa. It is commonly used in cosmetics, skin care products, and hair care products because of its many benefits. Some of the benefits of shea butter include: Moisturizing: Shea butter is an excellent moisturizer for the skin, as it is rich in fatty acids and vitamins that can help to hydrate and nourish the skin. Anti-Inflammatory: Shea butter has anti-inflammatory properties which can help to soothe and calm irritated skin. Sun Protection: Shea butter has a natural sun protection factor (SPF) of around 6, which can help to protect the skin from harmful UV rays. Anti-Aging: Shea butter is rich in antioxidants, which can help to protect the skin from environmental damage and delay the signs of aging. Healing: Shea butter can help to heal dry, cracked, or damaged skin and can be used to treat conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis. Hair Care: Shea butter is also beneficial for hair care, it can be used to moisturize and nourish the hair, helping to prevent breakage and promote healthy growth. Improves Skin Elasticity: Shea butter contains a high amount of fatty acids which helps in increasing the skin elasticity and also helps in reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Olive Oil Olive oil is a popular oil used in cold-process soap making because it is a gentle, moisturizing oil, that creates soap with a creamy, stable lather. It is also high in antioxidants, which can help protect and nourish the skin. Additionally, olive oil is a long-lasting oil, meaning that soaps made with it will have a longer shelf life. Goat’s Milk (not in all bars) Goat’s milk is a popular ingredient in cold-process soap making because it is rich in vitamins and minerals, particularly Vitamin A and selenium, which are beneficial for the skin. It is also a natural source of lactic acid, which can help exfoliate and brighten the skin. Goat’s milk also contains alpha-hydroxy acids which can help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and also improve the overall texture of the skin. The fat molecules in goat’s milk are also smaller than cow’s milk, which makes them more easily absorbed by the skin and provides a more moisturizing effect. Additionally, goat’s milk is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe irritated skin.
