Artful Escape 7"

Presented here in a 7-inch vinyl album for your listening pleasure are two newly remastered works from folk icon, Johnson Vendetti. Recorded in 1952 in Flatiron Recording Studios,“The Banks of the River are Lined with Gold” and its B-side “If It Don’t Work Out,” marked a move into the mainstream for Vendetti. A story that began in the green acreage of Calypso, Colorado, was at the time of these recordings spreading like snowmelt across America. 20 years later, in 1972, Johnson Vendettiʼs nephew, Francis, prepares to take the stage for the first time. Will he follow in the colossal footsteps of his uncle? Or will his life spiral out of control into a cosmic, psychedelic kaleidoscope of guitar solos, aliens, talks shows and disco worms? iam8bit is proud to debut this period-authentic EP, from the absolute marvel of a video game, The Artful Escape, from our pals, developer Beethoven and Dinosaur, and Annapurna Interactive.   ...
