Arraignment

Make a coin portrait appear on a one-dollar bill. A killer close-up effect closely guarded by Josh Janousky for over a decade. For over a decade, Josh Janousky kept Arraignment as his personal close-up worker. It fits the places where close-up magic actually happens: a dim bar, a noisy restaurant, the street, or a highly visual social media video. The system sits naturally in the scene while giving the audience a strong psychological and visual hit. The magician shows a coin and a one-dollar bill. The display is clean and fair. The portrait on the coin vanishes completely. The spectator opens the bill they have been holding the whole time, and the missing portrait is now printed directly onto it. The secret gimmick stays completely invisible, even in plain sight. When the performance ends, everything can be handed out at once for full examination. The bill can also be left with the spectator as a unique souvenir. The props are built for real-world performance. The included gaff coin is made with high-precision casting technology. The reeding, the color of the patina, and even the sound of the metal clinking are nearly identical to a real coin. The shell is crafted with Artisan Coin's exclusive technology and fits smoothly and precisely. That level of craftsmanship lets you perform with confidence, even under close scrutiny and in high-pressure conditions. Arraignment is a complete, highly versatile system for real-world workers. The tutorial teaches several independent ways to transfer the portrait to the bill, with different skill levels and display options. You can work with pure sleight of hand, gimmick-assisted handling, or a handling built for maximum visual impact and absolute cleanliness. The methods are modular, so you can separate and recombine them for different conditions: standing, surrounded, or performing for the camera. Each performance can take on a fresh shape. Bonus Routines Counterfeit: Josh's own highly visual bill change, and one he is incredibly proud of. Inner Origami: The Bill Change of Happiness: A brilliant idea from the talented Jeff Prace that makes the bill switch more beautiful and natural. The Shape of Astonishment: Authorized by magic legend Paul Harris, this incredible extension brings a brand-new visual experience. Note You will need to provide your own regular quarter and one-dollar bill. If you wish to borrow a quarter from the audience for this trick, please make sure to choose the version featuring George Washington's portrait on the head and an eagle on the tail.
