Armani Acqua Di Gio EDP

Acqua Di Gio Eau de Parfum launched in 2022, created by Alberto Morillas — the original nose behind the 1996 Acqua di Gio, with a focus on natural sustainability, eco-friendly refillable bottles, and sustainably sourced ingredients. It greens up the aquatic with rosemary and sage, drops the salty calone of the original, and produces a composition that reads as professional and clean across any business context. The opening is familiar AdG freshness — bright citrus, aquatic notes, that salty marine vibe everyone recognizes, but compared to the EDT, there's more green aromatic notes upfront. The overarching emphasis in the opening is freshness and brightness, with green mandarin orange leading the charge — more zesty than sweet — while geranium and sage aromatics amplify the freshness. The rest of the wear is fresh aromatics, woody nuances, and a mineral sea note backbone. It lasts seven hours on the skin with moderate projection. Most wearers report very good projection and 7-8 hours longevity. The dry-down reveals a pairing of patchouli and vetiver that support the earlier aromatic mixture with slightly smoky, green earthiness — the EDP smells fresh, brisk, and grounded. Community reviewers describe its profile as "Acqua di Gio Greatest Hits" — it takes the minimalistic model of Acqua di Gio EDT and injects a bracing, modern energy, with Profondo's opening aquatics and Profumo's composed patchouli undertones. It's less iconic than EDT and less interesting than Profondo, but the most universally office-appropriate Acqua di Giò in production. If you want the classic AdG DNA with better longevity and a greener, more professional aromatic profile, sampling the EDP is exactly the smart move to make before committing.
