Argos Midas Touch

Argos | Midas Touch | Extrait de Parfum Argos Midas Touch Extrait de Parfum is a radiant and opulent creation that captures the allure, desire, and danger behind the legendary gift of King Midas. This extrait concentration offers a richer, smoother, and more golden interpretation of the story with luminous citrus, lavish florals, warm resins, and prized woods that create a deeply luxurious and unforgettable scent experience. Inspired by the work of Johann Georg Platzer, a Rococo master known for his dramatic lighting and lavish depictions of mythological tales, Midas Touch embodies the tension between beauty and consequence. Platzer often portrayed scenes rich in gold, decadence, and theatrical emotion, reflecting the myth of a king whose wish became his undoing. In the legend, King Midas longs for the power to turn everything he touches into gold. His wish is granted, transforming his world into glittering treasure yet stealing life from everything he loves. Food becomes inedible metal, water becomes hard and cold, and his daughter turns to a statue in his arms. This fragrance captures both the dazzling beauty and haunting weight of that myth with notes that shimmer, deepen, and evolve on the skin. The scent opens with a radiant blend of Bergamot, Gurjum Balsam, and creamy Tuberose that glows like light striking polished gold. The heart unfolds with rich Rose, fruity floral Osmanthus, resinous Cistus Labdanum, and supple Leather, evoking opulence and decadence. The base settles into a powerful foundation of Patchouli, earthy Nagarmota, golden Benzoin Siam, and treasured Oud, forming an indulgent and memorable dry down.
