Argentinian Red Ladybug Crystal Dome Paperweight

Small, bright, and impossibly certain of itself. In the gardens of Argentina, the red ladybug is considered a quiet blessing — a flicker of luck against green leaves and sun-warmed earth. This one was lifted from a vintage naturalist study in Ben’s archive, its lacquered scarlet shell and inky spots rendered with delicate precision. Centered beneath glass, it feels as though it has just paused mid-journey, carrying good fortune wherever it lands. Handcrafted in our New York City studio, each dome is formed from luminous French crystal that magnifies every curve and detail, turning something delicate into something enduring. The glass catches the light the way a dewdrop does at dawn, enlarging the ladybug’s vibrant red so it glows from within. Resting on a desk, vanity, or stack of well-loved books, it becomes both paperweight and talisman. For centuries, ladybugs have symbolized protection, renewal, and the gentle assurance that small things can shift the course of a day. This is a reminder to welcome joy when it appears — vivid, unannounced, and perfectly timed. Each paperweight is signed, felt-backed, and accompanied by a card detailing the time-honored découpage process that brings Ben’s work to life. A little luck, held in glass. Style: DPWI-4686
