This is a superbly rounded performer that simply gets on with the job of playing music without intruding on the experience. Partner it with suitably capable sources and speakers, and it will invariably deliver musical and enjoyable results. It has been many years since we’ve heard such a convincing stereo amplifier from Arcam. If you are thinking of buying at this level, this one has to go at the top of your shortlist. It really is that good. Welcome back Arcam" - .What Hi-Fi?   Arcam Radia A5 Integrated Amplifier Review - Read More "Something that cropped up in the time the A5 was on test was how it effortlessly reminded me of the point where models like the DiVA A65+ were on sale. There is a formidable all round ability to the A5 that mimics that older amp and it really does make this a tremendous option under a grand. In a photo finish with the Advance Paris, I do think that the extra inputs and sheer scale of the i75 means I don’t regret giving it the award but I can see why many people might choose the Arcam. This is a fine amplifier and an easy Best Buy. " - Ed Selley   Arcam Radia A5 - Read More "The saying “old wine in new bottles” can be read in a good sense here for once, because behind the completely redesigned casework of the Arcam Radia A5 we still find everything we love the British brand for: it is affordable, feature-rich and uncomplicated – and last but not least, it is also unmistakably an Arcam in terms of sonic character. Paired with competent loudspeakers, you can build a starter setup that already enables a genuinely audiophile experience convincing enough so that many won’t feel an urge to upgrade anytime soon. Instead, the A5 politely offers an upgrade path towards a complete hi-fi system without ever being pushy about it. That’s what I call entry-level in the best sense of the word. " - Sebastian Polcyn   Light the Bat-Signal! This Cyber Monday Arcam deal is so crazy it belongs in an asylum - Read More "Get it firing and you'll realise just how good the A5 is. As we said in our review: "There is a fine sense of control, with the amplifier showing impressive composure when the music gets demanding. It doesn’t sound stressed or cluttered, even when pushed to higher volume levels. Lows are well-defined and authoritative but pleasingly agile. There is plenty of punch too, which keeps things entertaining."" - Harry McKerrell      SPECIFICATIONS Continuous power output (0.5% THD), per channel 2 channels driven, 20Hz - 20kHz, 8Ω 50W 2 channels driven, 1kHz, 4Ω 75W Harmonic distortion, 80% power, 8Ω at 1kHz 0.003% Analogue Inputs Number of inputs 3 (RCA pairs) Signal/noise ratio (A-wtd, ref. 50W, 1V input) 106dB Frequency response 20Hz—20kHz ± 0.2dB Phono (MM) Input Input impedance 47kΩ + 100pF Frequency response (ref.
