Irish Country Knit Wool Poncho

Add a sparkle of Irish charm to your wardrobe with our gorgeous Irish Country Knit Poncho. From its humble origins as traditional fisherman's attire to its current iconic status as a timeless fashion classic, Aran knitwear has always been praised for its unique style, imbued with deep meaning. Knit with a variety of Irish cable stitches, this Aran poncho celebrates the age-old traditions of the Aran islands in a modern piece. The cable stitch is designed to resemble the sturdy ropes used by the brave Irish fishermen when sailing in the cold water of the Atlantic and symbolize strength and a wish for safety. Besides their beautiful association with the adventurous life of the islanders, these stitches were also made as a double layer of insulation and breathability so that the fishermen would stay protected from the elements no matter the weather. The poncho is skillfully made of 100% Merino wool, an ethically sourced natural material, guaranteeing durability, warmth, and increased softness. It's also breathable and resistant to moisture, so it will keep you dry whether it's a hotter day or a humid, rainy one. The roll neck can be adjusted according to your needs for even more coziness. The best part comes here - it's machine washable, thanks to SAOL's innovative anti-shrink technology. Goodbye, complex wool washing instructions!
