Caliber Armor’s AR550 steel plates provide exceptional protection against high-velocity projectiles, including special threats like M855 rounds. Additionally, they are designed with comfort in mind. The ergonomic multi-curve ensures a snug, secure fit without sacrificing protection. Notably, our multi-curve press process guarantees structural integrity, reducing the strain on the plate while maintaining the same fit you expect from multi-curve ceramic plates. Shooter's Cut & SAPI Style Our Shooter's Cut reduces weight while maintaining sufficient coverage for vital organs, thus offering optimal mobility. On the other hand, SAPI Style plates provide a higher cut for additional protection. Coating Options PolyShield Spall Protection Coating Steel plates can produce dangerous fragmentation upon impact. This specially formulated coating helps contain spall and protects the wearer from harmful debris. With this additional layer, you can wear your armor with confidence. Standard Coating Standard Coating to protect plate from the elements. This coating provides little to no protection from projectile fragmentation.
