Aquavitro Shrimp pHa Freshwater Shrimp pH Buffer – 150 mL

Create more suitable water conditions for freshwater shrimp with aquavitro Shrimp pHa, a specialized buffer formulated to lower pH, soften water and support planted shrimp aquariums. Shrimp pHa is the acidic component of aquavitro’s two-part freshwater shrimp buffering system. When used with Shrimp pHb, it allows aquarists to target the pH range preferred by different types of freshwater shrimp. Its stable, sodium-free formula helps protect sensitive aquatic plants while supporting consistent water parameters for shrimp. Shrimp Type Target pH Shrimp pHa Shrimp pHb Crystal Bee Shrimp 5.8–6.8 25 mL 2.5 mL Neocaridina Shrimp 6.0–7.5 20 mL 15 mL Tiger Shrimp 7.0–7.5 15 mL 20 mL Sulawesi Shrimp 7.5–8.5 2.5 mL 25 mL Use when setting up an aquarium and when preparing replacement water for a water change. Base the dosage on the amount of new water being prepared, not automatically on the aquarium’s entire volume. Directions for Lowering pH in an Established Aquarium Add 2.5 mL of Shrimp pHa for every 5 gallons of aquarium water every 12 hours until the desired pH is reached. Do not exceed this dosage. Some aquariums may require repeated treatments due to the buffering effects of substrates, rocks or decorations. Important Freshwater shrimp can be extremely sensitive to rapid changes in water chemistry. Test pH, GH and KH before dosing and monitor the water after each adjustment. For sensitive shrimp, divide the required dosage into smaller additions spread over 12–24 hours to reduce the risk of pH shock. Always prepare and test new water before introducing it to an established shrimp aquarium. Follow the complete directions printed on the product label. Shrimp pHb and Shrimp GH are sold separately.
