Backstory / History Cobra's Aqua Troopers are the terror of the deep — elite underwater operatives trained in combat diving, demolitions, and covert maritime infiltration. Recruited from the ranks of disgraced navy divers and mercenary frogmen, these faceless soldiers operate beneath the waves where G.I. Joe's reach is weakest, sabotaging harbors, cutting undersea cables, and escorting Cobra submarines through contested waters. Their distinctive helmeted appearance has made them a fan-favorite trooper since their first appearance in the classic animated series. Collectors prize the Aqua Trooper for building out Cobra's aquatic assault squads and creating dramatic underwater or waterfront diorama scenes.
