Apricot Drift® Rose

A low, spreading carpet of soft apricot-orange roses that fades to creamy peach and reblooms from spring straight through fall. Apricot Drift® (Rosa ‘Meimirrote’) is a dwarf groundcover rose bred to deliver the romance of a classic rose on a tidy, knee-high frame. Clusters of small, fully double blooms open warm apricot and soften to a gentle peach as they age, so the plant carries several shades at once for a glowing, layered effect. Glossy green foliage stays dense and healthy, and the wide, mounding habit — just 1 to 2 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet across — spills beautifully over walls, edges beds, and weaves between taller perennials without ever crowding them. Why growers choose the Apricot Drift Rose Months of color. It flowers in waves from spring to fall, reblooming reliably on new growth so the display refreshes itself all season. Warm, shifting hues. Double apricot-orange blooms mellow to soft peach, giving each cluster a sunset-like blend of tones. Cold-hardy and tough. Hardy in zones 4 through 9, it shrugs off winters that would set back many shrub roses and bounces into fast growth each spring. Strong disease resistance. Like the Drift family, it was selected for good resistance to blackspot and mildew, so the glossy foliage stays clean with minimal fuss. Effortless habit. Its low, spreading shape needs little shaping and naturally fills space, smothering weeds as it knits together. Plant a drift of them as a flowering groundcover on a slope, line a front walk or border edge, tuck them into a sunny mixed bed, or let them cascade from a large container or wall. Their compact size and long bloom season make them an easy way to add dependable, season-long color wherever you have full sun.
