APR Carbon Fiber Front Bumper Canards for DE5 Integra Type S

Tunable Front Downforce Vortex Generation Keeps Airflow Attached Pre-Preg Carbon, Hardware Included Track-Focused, Requires Drilling Description Vehicle Fitment APR Carbon Fiber Front Canards - 2024-2026 Acura Integra Type S (DE5) Canards are the most track-focused aero you can bolt to the front of a car, and they do more than the simple downforce story suggests. These APR canards add front downforce to plant the nose in hard cornering, but they also generate vortices that keep airflow attached to the body downstream, which is where a lot of their real benefit comes from. Pre-preg carbon, hardware included, built for a car that's genuinely driven fast. How Canards Actually Work Two mechanisms, and the second one is the part most people don't understand. Direct downforce. A canard is a small wing angled to push the front of the car down. In fast air it generates a downward force on the nose, adding grip to the front tires exactly when hard cornering is trying to push the front wide. That's the obvious job. Vortex generation. This is the clever part. The edges of a canard spin the air into tight vortices that trail down the side of the car. Those vortices keep airflow attached to the bodywork instead of letting it separate and go turbulent, which reduces drag and helps everything downstream, side skirts, rear diffuser, work better. A canard improves the aero of parts nowhere near it. Together that means sharper turn-in, a more stable front end at speed, and a car that carries more front grip through a fast corner. On an Integra Type S being tracked, that's real lap time. They Work With The Rest Of Your Front Aero Canards aren't a standalone solution, they're part of a system. They pair with a front splitter to manage the pressure building in your fender wells and clean up the underbody airflow. Run them alongside a front lip and the front of the car works as a coordinated aero package rather than individual pieces, each making the others more effective. If you're serious enough about front-end grip to fit canards, the splitter is the companion that lets them do their best work. Tunable Front Balance The reason canards come in multiples rather than a single pair. Upper and lower canards give you the ability to fine-tune how much front downforce you're generating, which lets you dial in the car's aero balance. Too much front and the car gets nervous at the rear; too little and it pushes wide. Being able to adjust the front lets you match it to your rear aero and your driving. That tuning flexibility is why serious track cars run adjustable front aero rather than a fixed setup. You're setting the balance for your car, your track, and your pace. Pre-Preg Carbon, Built To Hold Its Shape Genuine pre-preg carbon fiber, formed in an autoclave under high heat and pressure for strength and low weight. Stiffness matters on a canard specifically. It's a small aero surface under real load in fast air, and a flexible one deflects, which changes the downforce it makes and the vortices it sheds. A rigid pre-preg canard holds its angle at speed, so the aero it produces is consistent rather than washing out as the load builds. The finish is UV-stable epoxy and clear coat, so the carbon resists fading in the sun the way a properly made exterior part should. Hardware Included Screws, nuts, and bolts are all in the box, so you have everything needed to mount them. Worth noting that canards mount to the bumper, which means drilling, this is a permanent, track-focused modification rather than a reversible dress-up part. Fit them knowing that. Fitment 2024-2026 Acura Integra Type S (DE5) Mounting hardware included. Who Should Grab These This is for the Integra Type S owner who tracks the car seriously and wants tunable front downforce, not the owner after a cosmetic touch. Real grip in fast corners, vortex generation that helps the aero downstream, and the ability to dial in your front balance. They pair with a splitter for a complete front aero package, and they're a permanent mod for a car that's genuinely driven hard. If that's you, they earn their place.
